Rovner ligatures allow your reed to vibrate more freely than standard metal-ring ligatures and thus allow for greater projection of sound, better responsiveness and more accurate intonation. Rovner ligatures will also reduce air leakage from the mouthpiece facing, reduce squeaks and extend the life-span of your reeds.

The Light version of this ligature has less material covering the reed, thus allowing for even more vibration and better projection. The Lightis ideal for players seeking a more contemporary sound and a less "covered" sound than offered by the Darkvariant.
